Dear Friends of Give Me A Chance,
With gratitude and hopeful hearts, we are opening all our programs for the Fall. However, we are still aware of the fact that the pandemic is not completely over. We are cautious and aware of what is recommended for us to do to stay safe.
Our Golf Tournament was a success, and we thank everyone who supported this event. We were blessed to have Bishop Solis with us for the entire day.
We will not have a Garden dinner event this year. We are aware that there is always a large crowd for this gathering, and we think it'll be better to wait since the Delta strain of the virus is still infecting individuals.
We will have a drawing as we did last year, and if possible, we ask that you support our efforts. Tickets are the same donation as last year- $50 for three tickets. Any three tickets can be applied to any of the prize packages. Indicate your choice on the reverse of your contact information portion of the ticket. Additional tickets are the same price- increments of three for $50. The actual drawing will be on September 25th at 10:00 a.m. at the Center, and a recorded video will then be put up on Facebook for all to view the drawing. Prizes will be shown and described on our Facebook page and are also listed on the reverse of the ticket.
As you know, all proceeds are used directly for the programs we offer. Our programs are growing and are serving many women and children. This is possible due to your support and generosity. God will bless you for your charitable giving to our Mission of Service.
Our Guadalupe Garden is beautiful, even now with the lack of water. Since you won't be able to experience it during the Enchantment in the Summer Garden dinner, we invite you to come and enjoy it for your own meditation or peaceful reflection. Come to the Give Me A Chance front office from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Josefina, our receptionist, will escort you to the garden entrance. Due to COVID-19 we are not leaving the side gates open.

The Closeness Through COVID Drawing will be held on September 25th, at 10:00am. Please send any tickets to Give Me A Chance at 2913 Grant Avenue, Ogden UT 84401. Updates on the drawing will be on our Facebook event page (link at the bottom of this post).
It will not necessary to be at Give Me A Chance the day of the Closeness Through COVID drawing. We will be posting the results of the drawing on this event page, and sharing them onto our main Facebook page as well. We’ll also be contacting the drawing winners using the information they provided on their drawing tickets, so they will know if they won or not regardless of if they aren’t able to access the Event pages on Facebook. The drawing winners will need to come pick up their winning packages from the Give Me A Chance learning center. We will be open from Monday through Thursday from 10:00am-4:00pm, and the winners can come anytime within that time frame to collect their package(s). Further details concerning out-of-state shipping will be given soon, and we thank you for your patience!
For the 2021 Closeness Through COVID Drawing, we have a total of 9 packages for donors to be in the running for! Each ticket that a donor returns can be put to a package of their choice.
Package 1 is a hand-sewn quilt. Package 2 is two vintage dolls, each roughly valued around $100. Package 3 is an evening of dinner with the Sisters from Give Me A Chance. Package 4 is a fun collection of food-based gift cards from the DCCW, and the small toy truck that comes with it. Package 5 is a Coach-brand purse with a matching clutch. Package 6 is a choice between 4 professionally taken & presented nature photos, kindly donated by photographer Tim Mathewson. Packages 7 & 8 are each a quarter of lean hamburger meat. Package 9 is a condo visit at the Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island, SC.
