For 8 weeks of the summer, the Summer School Program was held. The children were taught typical subjects like history and math, and how to grow plants and work in the garden! The students grew sprouts from seed, and nurtured them through the entire summer, until the plants grew and produced vegetables! Once they were able to harvest their fully-grown veggies, their teachers helped them prepare and cook the vegetables. After all their hard work, the children enjoyed eating up all the delicious vegetables. What an exciting way to learn some lifelong skills!
