Last Thursday at 5:00pm, members of the community joined staff & students at the Give Me A Chance learning center for the Blessing of the Nativity Scene. As the sun began to set, students from our After-School program sang Christmas carols with the audience. Then the staff, teachers, and students escorted everyone outside to the Our Lady of Guadalupe garden, where the nativity scene sat in the cold winter evening. Deacon Jack Clark blessed the scene, and everyone marveled when it lit up beautifully. Afterwards, staff and families warmed up with some spiced hot chocolate and cookies.
The nativity scene can be visited in our garden during our business hours, until it is taken down in January. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this event!
